Janice Kirkner, Chairmain of the Board
Janice Kirkner a resident of Carroll County and an Associate Broker for Long and Foster Real Estate works in all areas of residential and commercial real estate. Janice is the Past 2016 President of the Maryland Association of REALTORS® and was MAR 2013 REALTOR® of the Year. A past President of the Carroll County Association of REALTORS®, Janice serves as Chair of the CCAR Foundation and as a Director of the Carroll Community College Foundation. She is active with the National Association of REALTORS® as well as numerous other civic activities. She and her husband Bob are past Family recipients of the Community Foundation of Carroll County Philanthropists of the year award and have two daughters and four grandchildren.
Denise A. Merson, Vice-Chair
Denise is Senior Vice-President of Sage Title Group, a regional title company. Denise serves on the Carroll County Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors. She has served as chair of the Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Committee for CCAR, as well as on the Carroll Hospital Auxiliary and a variety of other civic and community activities.
Jim Blaney, Treasurer
Jim is a 40 plus year resident of Carroll County and has been a REALTOR® since 1983. He is an Associate Broker at Keller Williams Legacy and a graduate of the Maryland Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy and The 2016 National Association of REALTORS Leadership Academy. He has served in numerous leadership capacities, including 2010 President of the Carroll County Association of REALTORS®, 2009 President of Mid-Atlantic Realty Services (MARS), and as a trustee and past-president of the Carroll County Association of REALTORS® Foundation. Jim and his wife, Brenda, reside in Manchester. They have five children and five grandchildren.
Carolyn Marks, Trustee
Carolyn has over 20 years’ experience as a professional REALTOR® and has been a member of the Creig Northrop Team since 2001. She has a deep knowledge of the Maryland Real Estate market, especially Carroll County, where she has been a long-time resident. Carolyn is highly regarded by her clients for her responsiveness, communication, attention to detail and professionalism. Carolyn is a graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame and also attended Towson University. She enjoys spending time with her family and seven grandchildren.
Denise Lewis, Trustee
Denise has been a REALTOR® since 2003. She is the Broker of Brook-Owen Real Estate. Denise has been serving the realtor community since she arrived on the scene. She is the immediate past president of the Carroll County Association of Realtors, where she serves on the board, and as the RPAC Chairperson. She is a graduate of the Maryland Association of Realtors’ Leadership Academy. She is not only involved at the local level but serves on the Statewide Forms Committee, and attends the State and National annual conventions and events. Denise and Kevin have been married for 25 years and are happy to call Westminster their home. They have four children and eight grandchildren that complete their blessed life…
Jamie Billingslea, Trustee
James (Jamie) Billingslea. Graduated from Frostburg with a Business major in 1978. Entered the Business with his father (Billingslea Insurance and Real Estate) in July of 1978 selling both insurance and real estate. CCAR Board of Directors late 90’s-early 2000’s Past President 2009.
Phyllis Adam, Trustee
Phyllis Adam has been serving the real estate community since 1988. She is currently serving on the Carroll County Association of REALTORS’ Executive Board as President-Elect. Phyllis has been on the Carroll County Association of REALTORS Board of Director since 2010, the Million Dollar Real Estate Professionals’ Board of Directors and Executive Board from 2005 – 2016 and has served as the Chair of the Awards Committee, Co-Chair of Grievance,
Co-Chair of YPN Committee and been involved on the Community Outreach committee. She lives in Westminster with her husband John.
Sherry works for UTZ Properties in the Real Estate and Property Management divisions. She has been a licensed agent for 17 years and has served on several committees including the Awards banquet, RPAC and Welcoming. She has been donating her time and energies to the CCARF Bingo from the beginning.. Also an auxiliary board member for Carroll Hospital where she helps to serve our community as well. Sherry has been married to Rob for 25 years and they have two sons and happy to call Eldersburg their home
